The River Danube is a river in Central and Eastern Europe. It rises in the Black Forest mountains of western Germany, and flows for some 2,850 km (1,770 mi) to its mouth on the Black Sea.

The River Danube flows for 28 km (17.3 mi) through Budapest from north to south. There are 8 bridges within the city.
The Danube Banks in Budapest are a part of Unesco World Heritage sites, they can be viewed from a number of sightseeing cruises offered in the city.

I got to see the Danube while I was visiting Vienna, but I'd love to see it in Hungary, too. I think a river cruise down it would be so fun!
ReplyDeleteEight bridges in one city for one river? That must be huge well 1770 miles is a long ways. The size of those boats show its size. There is some awesome architecture in Budapest.
