Feral Cats

Spain Feral cats

A feral cat is a cat that lives outdoors and has had little or no human contact. They do not allow themselves to be handled or touched by humans, and back away or run when they are able to do so.

They may attack if they’re pushed into a corner with no way out, but their responses come from fear, not aggression. As long as you respect their space, feral cats are not dangerous.

They can live on all continents except for Antarctica. The worldwide feral cat population is estimated to be at least 100 million.

The average life span of a feral cat without human care is less than two years.
