The Barcelona Aquarium is an aquarium, located in Barcelona, Spain. It is a member of the Iberian Association of Zoos and Aquaria.

It was opened in 1995. The 35 aquariums at the facility are home to 11,000 animals representing 450 species, contains a total of 5,000,000 l (1,300,000 US gal) of water and has a 80-meter (260 ft) underwater tunnel.


With more than 1,500,000 visitors per year, the aquarium is the 4th most visited place of Barcelona.





Opening hours:
The Aquarium generally opens at 10 am, the closing time, however, changes according to the season (7:30 pm - 9:30 pm). Be sure to check the official website prior to your visit and to check the schedule.
