Spain Monk Parakeet

The monk parakeet, also known as the Quaker parrot, is a small parrot in the order Psittaciformes found in Argentina and the surrounding countries in South America. Self-sustaining feral populations occur in many places, mainly in North America and Europe.

They average 29 cm (11 in) long, weigh 100 g (3.5 oz), with an average wingspan of 48 cm (19 in) and display a bright-green body colour.

Monk parakeets have a life expectancy of  6 years or more in the wild. Individuals may reach 15–20 years of age, and 25–30 in captivity.
