Budapest Hungary

The Great Market Hall or Central Market Hall is the largest and oldest indoor market in Budapest, Hungary. The market is located in front of the Szabadság híd, or Liberty Bridge, on the Pest side of the Danube river.

The building was designed by the Hungarian architect Samu Pecz (1854–1922) and opened in 1897.

The area size of the building is 10,000 m²  (107,639,104 sq ft), which is covered by steel structure.

Although the Central Market Hall was pretty damaged during the World Wars, it has been restored perfectly in the 1990s.
